What to expect.
Poreč is becoming one of the top destinations for hunting Atlantic Bluefin tuna. In recent years, the Adriatic Sea has become a habitat for many different sizes of Atlantic Bluefin tuna.
Big Game fishing, also known as offshore sport fishing, is a form of sport fishing with the goal of catching large fish such as Atlantic Bluefin tuna, blue shark and fox shark. Fishing is done on the open sea, often far away from the mainland.
The fishing area is between Umag and Pula, depending on where the fish are at that time.
The Tuna Tail boat is equipped for Big Game fishing with fish finder, radar, chart plotter, Big Game fighting chair, station for pulling the fish on the platform, stand-up belts for fighting tuna, and rods and reels of 80 lbs.
The main technique we usually use is drifting. While drifting, we also try to catch live bait using recreational rods.
